    You’ll never forget your mother’s face,
    the sound of her voice,
    the gentleness of her touch….
    They let you know you were loved.

    You’ll never forget the stories she told,
    the traditions she handed down….
    They let you know who you are.

    You’ll never forget the lessons she taught,
    the things she stood for….
    they are her gift and your legacy.

    You’ll never forget, and you’ll always know
    that you honor her everyday in how you live and who you are.

    Your Mother is always with you.
    She’s the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street;
    she’s the smell of bleach in your freshly laundered socks;
    she’s the cool hand on your brow when you’re not well.

    Your Mother lives inside your laughter.
    And she’s crystallized in every tear drop.
    She’s the place you came from, your first home;
    and she’s the map you follow with every step you take.

    She’s your first love and your first heartbreak,
    and nothing on earth can separate you.
    Not time, not space…not even death!

  • I thought about you this morning.  I remembered she passed the day after Kate’s birthday.  I know your mother must have been an amazing woman because she raised some very amazing daughters!  I just wish I would have had the honor to have met her to tell her so!  She left a wonderful legacy!

  • What a wonderful memorial to your mother.  Hugs to you today!

    I to bet Charley and Deeogee would love a play date together.  Darn the miles in between us!

  • She was beautiful. As is your memory of her.

  • Made me cry— that was beautiful and so was your mom.

    I found a flag that flies on my back porch- it has butterflies on it and it says ” Listen to my spirit whisper to your heart”  I know that it is from mom and she is saying just that to me!!!

    Thanks for sharing the love of your mom with us.  I love ya Janice!!!

  • Thanks for sharing that tribute to your Mom! I felt every word! Love ya, Janice!

  • I’m frustrated with this little man of mine!  I’ve never had a dog that doesn’t listen and this one is really bad at it right now!  On our outside visits I just let him run as we have a huge yard and I am with him.  But when it is time to come in now he will not come.  He ignors me!  He use to beat me to the door.  And if I go after him he runs from me.  Frustrating!!!  So, what do you do to get them to COME?  As for now I am going to take him out on his leash.  I hate that but guess he will have to deal with it.  Now on the other hand, when he is in the house he is just perfect!

  • Your mom was a beautiful woman both inside and out.  She did a wonderful job raising you and you have the treasure of her memory.

    Someday we will all be reunited.  That will be glorious.  No more tears.

    What a beautiful tribute.  My mom left here in 1992 and she is always in my thoughts.

    Your dear mom was born a year before me.  My own mom died on April 22.  I always remember that date.

    Thanks for stopping by while I was away.

    HUGS

    THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for your very sweet and generous gift!  I was so surprised to receive this.  I am embarrassed to say I just opened it today…it has been on the table and I thought it was something I had ordered.  Imagine my suprise and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  You are so special and so sweet Janice, for thinking of me like you do. xoxoxo
