It's About Time
For a proper entry. Don't you agree?
I'm been doing alright up until about 5 minutes ago. My little girl Mandy has recuperated well from her surgery. In fact, I had Mandy and Chili groomed on Saturday. But, I was just holding Mandy and I fear that I have found another tumor on her. <sigh> NOW WHAT DO I DO? This is so heartbreaking.
Onto other things.....on Friday night there were some fires going on in the area. When I left to run an errand on Friday evening I was SHOCKED to see the skies full of smoke. The sun was gone, I swear I thought the world was coming to an end! Check this video out:
The sun was such a bright orange color too. It was WEIRD!
Here were my activities on Saturday:
- WW meeting at 6:30am
- Went home to pick up my babies to bring them to the groomers
- Back to my house to pick up Sue
- Donut shop for a bagel
- Picked up Jessica so she could hang out with Sue and I for the day and then spend the night
- Garage sales galore! That was until Jessica pooped out!
- Back to Jessica's house to drop off a KICK A$$ bargain that I bought for Matthew: A Rescue Heroes Firestation for $12.00!! Pierce and Peyton are playing with it below:
- Grocery store to pick up a few items
- Ross
- Lunch
- Payless Shoe Source
- Picked up my babies from the groomers
- Back to my house to drop Sue off and change so Jessica and I could go to a my Goddaughter Nazzy's graduation party.
Mind you, this was all before 2:00pm!!
Here are Nazzy, Jessica and I:
My sis Debbie and bro-in-law Robin were also at the party:
Look at what Nazzy got for her graduation from her parents:
I LOVED the bike - it is so retro!
After the party Jessica and I went back to my house and played with the $2.00 Connect Four (BRAND new mind you) game that we picked up earlier in the day. At 8:00pm we headed out the door AGAIN to go see Jenny and Chris do a march at a Portuguese club. It was so cool to watch the young people do the march and embrace their culture.
Here are Jenny and Chris after the march:
Jessica and Jenny:
The next morning Jessica and I went to Mass and then to her house for a Housewarming Party/Father's Day breakfast. Sue and I went to Walmart after breakfast and guess what I did when I got home. If you guessed that I took a long nap, then you were right! Dinner was at Denise's house and that was my weekend.
My tattoo is healing quite nicely. I like how the crucifix peeks out below the sleeve of my shirt:
OK, time to get back to loving and hugging my little girl. I hope you are all doing well. Be sure to hug your families.

Great photos & I hope that there was not to much devestation from the fires.
Have a good week.
aah lovely bike, what a nice gift!
and cool tattoo, I don't know how I missed that but I like it
Scary about the fires. I heard about the ones in CA and we have some too out in NC. Good luck to your little girl. Hopefully what you felt wasn't anything. {{{HUGS}}}
I couldn't get the videos , darn it! Those fires are so scarey and put so many people in danger, not to mention losing their homes.
Poor lil Mandy! I hope it's not another tumor. My heart hurts for you. Our lil babies are our world!
You have the most beautiful family. But they have the most beautiful Auntie!
That bike is awesome. I want one. Hee hee! I love the color.
RYC: Thanks Sweetie. That's what I think about you. So you flatter me.
Good lord. And how did I know that some major shopping would be in the middle of all the other things you had going on?? hahaha..
I'm just loving the pic of the boys, playing with the firestation. Look at them! They look as if they're gonna crawl right inside the thing!! hahahah...cute!!!
Jessica's litte front choppers crack me up. That age is so adorable..all snaggle toothed!! hahaha..I bet she hates it!! I remember thinking how goofy I looked when I'd lose a tooth.
Poor Mandy. Lord Janice. I can truly understand your dilemma. Are the tumors in her mammary glands? Could the vet remove all her glands? would that keep the tumors from returning? Just a thought. Of course, not being a vet, what do I know?
Chris+Jenny=cute couple!
LOOOOVE you girl. You know I do!~ For sho!!
Well, I for one am totally worn out just reading this!!! Glad you had such a good weekend.
Thank you for those sweet, sweet words, Janice so thoughtful*

..in my thoughts...
That fire was pretty scary. You know, the sky almost looked like it does when there is a tornado. YIKES!!
I don't know what to tell you to do about your baby. I am afraid we are at the same place. We've found another lump. I just don't think I can bear to watch her suffer chemo or continue going through surgery after surgery. I wish I could wave a wand to make her feel good, but if I can't do that, I will love her as much as I can. It just makes me feel so crummy.
Thanks for your comments about my "new nephew". The word on him tonight hasn't been good. They still don't know what's going on. Not even sure there hasn't been brain damage. Specialists have been seeing him for the better part of the day. Just have to give this one to God.
Oh hun my heart just goes out to you and Mandy. I am so very sorry to hear this. I am really hoping that you are mistaking and it isn't another lump. This just isn't right at all. Big Hug! Please keep us informed about this. Know I'm thinking of you!
I sure hope they get the fires out before too much damage is done. You with the fires and us with the flooding and tornadoes. Man o man what is going on? Just crazy!
Sounds like you have been very busy! Sure is fun isn't it?!? Great pictures. I so love pictures!
Join the photo challenge. No obligation to post just when you do you leave a comment there saying you did. I know there are some coming up that I won't do.
Boy, you sure can muster up some energy! Sounds like a VERY full day. Take care, and give Mandy hugs. She is in great hands and I know you will take care of her. She is going to be ok! Hugs, Teresa
I couldn't get the videos the other day but today they played. What the heck??? Xanga is unpredictable.
Whew...what a schedule! You are one busy lady.
My heart is so with you on Mandy. Precious baby.
I can't see videos at all right now since the sound system on my computer is bad and...they don't really show up at all on this for some reason.
How are you doing on WW? I'm thinking of following the program. I was on it but got off of it. Time to go back on.
Good luck
Fran
Very strange...I thought I was subscribed to you and after I pressed submit, I was invited to subscribe. I did...maybe I'm subscribed twice now. Or perhaps it's because you changed your name?
Xanga is rather strange(couldn't be me)
BTW: Thanks so much for your prayers on Kaden's behalf. That means a lot.
RYC...Yeah, I would love to fire a few of the lazy ones...and the ones with ATTITUDE!!! OMG! There is nothing that rubs me the wrong way more quickly than a teenager with attitude. When one coworker(same one who went to Cancun and cut my comp time short) said his daughter would NEVER do anything bad, I had a litany to hand him as well. It was a quiet day in my office...and I loved and enjoyed every minute of it!!! LOL.
It must be kind of scary living where there are lots of brush fires. I didn't see the video when I was over here before.
Hey girl...when you make a video, the very least you can do is talk!! Then I get to hear your lovely voice. I heard just a tiny bit on a video once before but it wasn't enough!! heeheeee..so do as I say!! hahaha...
Loooooooooooove me some Janice!!!
That is true; we were very lucky that he didn't kill someone else with his car or that he wasn't killed himself.
Thanks for your kind words of support. It is so difficult to see my dad like this. I have updated my blog today after seeing him in the hospital.
Christy
I love your pictures so much! You have the most beautiful family and friends. How's your little sweetie Mandy doing? I hope she is ok. Much love to you J! I think of you so often these days, more so now than ever!
J.
That's the sad thing about those tumors, especially in dogs, they just seem to grow and multiply so quickly and fast.
What a wonderful fun filled weekend with your family.
Be strong honey. If you can stand the tatoos, and everything else you have been through, you can withstand anything.
You'll do it gracefully, and with love. That's what your family does.
