HERE WE GO AGAIN!
HOWDY HO FOLKS! GUESS WHAT?!
We have another birthday in our family today.
It's my oldest brother Richard's 50th Birthday!!!
We got together on Saturday night to celebrate Richard's birthday. Richard is NOT fond of surprise parties OR in being the center of attention. I told him that we would just have a family gathering, nothing big at all. SO, that was what we did. We had Taco Night at Donald's house. Richard wanted 2 tacos for every year, so we made 100 tacos.
Richard wanted strawberry shortcake so I ordered it from the bakery that Denise works at and had her decorate it. She didn't know what theme to go with but then came up with the TNT theme because Richard likes "explosives" - Firecrackers, smoke bombs, etc.
Here are Debbie and I making tacos:
Sue is enjoying the guacamole while Richard's girlfriend Vickie and her daughter Maryssa help make tacos in this pic:
The girls were all outside playing - I call this pic, "Tickled Pink" - Emily, Maryssa, Jessica & Abbie:
Here is my bro Donald showing Matthew how to put bubbles in the bubble machine:
PURE JOY - Matthew enjoying the bubbles:
Cousins Nick, Peyton & Matthew:
Pierce and moi:
Richard and his son Nick (my other nephew Jon couldn't be at the party as he is in Mexico with his church, building homes):
Jessica and Matthew ready to sing Happy Birthday to Uncle Richard:
Super Nino with Pierce and Peyton:
We celebrated Sue & Debbie's birthdays too - They got a chocolate eclair cake for their birthday (Looks like Jessica snuck in on the pic too!):
Richard modeling his new Stanford sweat jacket that I bought him for his birthday. I got it at Kohl's at a KICKA$$ bargain! He loved it:
Jenny and Denise:
On Sunday after church and breakfast I picked up Pierce from catechism and then we hit up a garage sale. He got some new toys (yeah!) and we just hung out at my house, played, took a nap and then Pierce went home. It was a pretty relaxing day.
That is it for today's entry. I hope you are all well, had a wonderful weekend and have an even better week! Be sure to hug your families!
Sing a song of Birthdays
Full of fun and cheer
And may you keep on having them
For many a happy year.

You have such wonderful family get togethers! I love your family almost as much as I love mine! Ha!
Gee Janice...so many wonderful and happy photos here. Awesomeness!
How much do I love the pic of you and Pierce?!?! Tons!! I always love seeing your beautiful and smiling face.
I love the one of Matthew playing with the bubbles...letting them fall down on him.
Good grief girl....you both made enough Tacos!! No wonder there's TNT on the cake!! hahahhaa!!! wooohoooo!
Happy 50th to your cutie brother. I wish him many, many more!!
BTW...those wonderful candles you sent me...I have the vanilla one in my bedroom. I use one of those electric candle warmers and keep it on all the time. The candle still smells as wonderful today as it did the day I put it in my room! They're really good ones! I refer to my books often. I have really enjoyed your gifts so much.
Ahhh! There is nothing like having a big family so there is a reason to celebrate often!!! The tacos sound YUMMY!!! I am like Richard...not one for a lot of fuss. But it sounds like you had a great time and he is lucky to have such a wonderful sister that would sit and make 100 TACOS!!! Good grief!!!
I have to tell you...that "tickled pink" has got to be one of the cutest pictures! Big (((HUGS)))!!!
Happy Birthday to Richard...he certainly does not look his age but then in your family none of you do...awesome genes!! I love these pictures so much. I miss when my boys were little and I will forever long for those good family times/celebrations. Those little ones will remember theee good times forever! Thanks for making my day with your post. When you guys make tacos....you really make tacos!!!! Wonderful! Hope you have a great Monday Janice! xo

Happy Birthday to all!
Today is our grandson, Jarrod's, 23rd birthday. I'll have to send congrats on line since he doesn't have a cell phone right now. The joys of college expense and not having a job until May. Thank heaven for free internet access and SKYPE. lol
Debbie is so pretty. As always enjoyed your family.
Looks like fun was had by all.
Wow March is one big long party for you guys! You are so beautiful in the pics Janice!
Those tacos and cake look yummy. I want to be part of your family.
Happy Birthday to Richard. You made me smile. I love seeing your family get togethers. I can tell how much you all enjoy each other. We are planning another get together with the grands this weekend. Pretty rare that I get 4 weekends in a row with them! Have a wonderful day!
RYC: I predict that one day you and I will belt awesome karaoke together!
I have an update on Jordan that I have not posted from his mom. Here it is!
Hi all, well Jordan just finished the 24 hours of methotrexate. And his numbers look good right now. He is swelling some but that is from all the fluid they have pumped into him to try to get a head start on flushing the methotrexate out. He has gotten started on the 48 hour dose of Ara-C. It should end around noon Thursday. Then if everything is working like it is supposed to we should be able to go home late Thursday or sometime Friday.
That is what we know for now. I will post more if anything changes.
Love,
Mama Alicia
