  • Edelweiss, Edelweiss

    Edelweiss, Edelweiss
    Every morning you greet me
Small and white, clean and bright
You look happy to meet me

Blossom of snow may you bloom and grow
    Bloom and grow forever

    Edelweiss, Edelweiss
    Bless my homeland forever

THAT was the song that I woke up to this morning.  Where the heck did that one come from?!  The Sound of Music is one of my favorite movies but I have not seen it in a long time.  When I went to Europe in 1979 we (the band I was in) performed songs from the movie but again, I have not seen it in a LONG time! Weird, eh?

Kathryn sent me the following pics of Taylor.  I bought the dress for her for Easter but she is also going to wear it to her Papa's 80th birthday party next weekend:

    Taylor 2

    Taylor 5

    Taylor 1

    Taylor 4

    Taylor 3

    Taylor 6

    Taylor 7

Tonight Sue and I are going out to dinner, tomorrow I have to finish getting my taxes done.  I left a few items at work so I have to just finalize some items with my tax preparer.  Tomorrow afternoon/evening I'm going to a crab feed.  ALL YOU CAN EAT! YUM YUM! Sunday morning we are having mass in my parents and Christopher's name and THAT would be it for my weekend plans.

I hope you all have a GREAT weekend, don't forget to SPRING forward (yuck, I hate losing an hour of sleep) and be sure to hug your families.

I went to the dentist yesterday and was listening to my iPod while getting a cavity filled.  The song, "Lullaby" by Creed came on and of course the tears started right after.  The song reminds me of my Critter.

I'm leaving you all with this:

    IN OUR HEARTS

We thought of you with love today,
    But that is nothing new.
    We thought about you yesterday,
And the days before that, too.
We think of you in silence.
    We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories,
And your picture in a frame.
    Your memory is our keepsake,
    With which we'll never part.
God has you in His Keeping.
We have you in our Heart.

  • Beautiful dress...and she is playing in the water in it!!!!! YIKES!!!! She has really changed since you last posted pictures of her. Getting to be a little girl instead of a baby.

  • Gorgeous dress.  Looks like spring!

  • You were in a band?

I'm confused about something. Taylor's dad (papa) is 80?

Hope you have a good time this weekend. Mmmmm...crabs....

  • I love the dress...she is quite the little princess. Getting so big!

I love that song in Sound of Music when he starts breaking up and she comes back out to sing with him. EXCELLENT movie.

I hope you have a fun, productive weekend Janice! Thanks for being such a great friend!

  • At least you wake up with a song in your head...there are so many others that don't have any songs in their lives at all. That dress is adorable and Taylor is really growing up. I love those pictures. Hope you have a great weekend! The crab feed sounds like FUN!!!! (((HUGS)))

  • So pretty in pink.  She sure is a changing!  Love the drees.  Looks so spring like there.  Still white and cold here.  I am so ready for spring and summer.  I hope you are having a great weekend.  Take care!

  • The dress you bought for Taylor is so pretty. Perfect fit.

It is funny how certain songs will flit through our minds..some staying far longer than we'd like. Sound of Music..what great music in that movie!

    Have a good week.

    Christy
