        This is me:

      Nozzle

         I started getting a cold on Tuesday evening.  SO, I stayed home on Wednesday and Thursday.  Whenever I get a cold, it goes right to my ears.  SO, I went to the Dr. yesterday because of pain in my left ear and he said that I do not have an ear infection.  BUT WAIT A SEC ..... I feel it coming on.  The Dr. gave me some nasal spray that just about makes me throw up.  It tastes so bad .... I know, you aren't supposed to spray it in your mouth but somehow, amazingly when sprayed up the nose, it ends up in the mouth.  DOH!

         SO, we shall see how I am feeling on Monday.  Hopefully I will not have to go back to the Dr.

      This is my computer:

    Laptop

         It's actually not my laptop that is sick, it's the connection to the laptop.  It worked for about 2 hours yesterday morning.  I wiggled some wires in the back of the laptop and it started working.  YEAH!  A connection to the outside world.

         Regarding Jeanie - GOOD NEWS:  She is doing amazingly better.  She is not in an induced coma anymore.  She is awake but not able to communicate because she has a tube down her throat.  She has really improved since the beginning of the week. Thank you all for your continued support and prayers!

         My brother called me on Wednesday because his girlfriend Vickie (Jeanie's sister) was in the hospital having emergency surgery to remove her gall bladder.  She has been having problems FOREVER with her gall bladder but I don't know why her Dr. wouldn't do surgery to remove it.  She had to wait until she had a horrible attack to have it removed.  She was in the hospital overnight after surgery and is home now resting comfortably.

         I had my gall bladder out in 1986 when they cut you open to remove it.  Nowadays, the surgery is so simple as they just do a laparoscopy to remove the gall bladder.  The recovery period is very short not like mine....I was off work for 6 weeks when I had my surgery.  It was kind of nice as Debbie was off work too as she was home on maternity leave with Brianna.

         Mind you, anytime you have surgery and have to "go under", it is VERY serious business but compared to the surgery I had almost 22 years ago, it is a simple procedure!

         Time to begin my workday.  Not sure how long I'll be here as I feel like crap.  Time will tell.

         You all have a wonderful weekend, WASH your hands often and be sure to give your family GINORMOUS hugs!

  • Darn old cold anyway! I hope you get to feeling better real soon!

    Good news on Jeannie! I'm still sending prayers for a good recovery.

    Seems the doctors won't do anything about anything anymore unless it's REALLY bad. Instead you have to suffer thru.

    Big Hugs to get well!

  • I just got over that stuff and it wasn't fun.  Antibotics finally knocked it ou.

    Oh I can't spray- squirt- or snort anything up my nose- Yuk!!  I wouldn't make a very godd druggy! Ha!  Hope you are better soon!!!  Hugs!

    That's great news about Jeanie. I hope she can make a complete recovery from this mystery.

    Gall bladder? Yeah the old days with the big operation. I had to fly home from Boston to take care of things at home and mom.  I slept in her room...and the nurses let me pull a little of the drainage tube out every day and change her bandages. I loved it. Now the just make a tiny hole and suck it out. hahahaha...better though, don't you think? hahaha

    How are Chili and Mandy doing. I hope they're doing well, spoiled brats that they are!!

    Love you Janicepoo!!

  • I'm glad everyone is well .. and I hope you don't get any worse.  Rest this weekend!!

  • The surgery for the gall bladder is very similar to the one I had for appendicitis. Amazing procedure and all I have now is a little scar.

    Good news about Jeanie! Good to hear she's recovering.

    I hope you feel better soon! {{{HUGS}}}

  • Good news about Jeanie! Sounds like she is getting stronger every day.

    How did your brother do on his interview?

    BIG (((HUGS))) and I hope you start feeling much better soon!!!

  • It's been two weeks and I'm still getting over my cold: still coughing, sneezing and dripping!  Yuck!  As for your Chinese Horoscope sign, this is your year!  It's the Year of the Rat!  Happy birthday!

    THE RAT

    <TABLE cellPadding=2 width="90%" border=0>
    <TBODY>
    <TR>
    <TD>
      Rats are both charming and aggressive. They appear calm and well balanced on the surface,but underneath, they are restless and a little nervous. Rats are compatible,hard working, and they know how to hang on to a penny. They are never without admirers. They are very appealing.They have a bright and happy personality,and this keeps them busy socially.They love parties and other large gatherings. They like belonging to exclusive clubs and will often have a close circle of fellow conspirators.They like involvement and are very outgoing. Rats cherish friends and loved ones. For this reason,they often get entangled with others'problems and lives.

       Rats love money and are quite shrewd where a buck is concerned. It is a hard task to separate Rats from their money. However, Rats can be very generous when their loved ones are concerned. Relatives are always welcome. Rats are definitely clannish and clever. With all these people around, Rats always find tasks for them to earn their keep. People will be put to work quickly in the Rat's house. Rats know how to keep a secret, if it's their own,but they are adept at finding out what others try to keep to themselves, and Rats wouldn't be above using the information if it were to their benefit.

       One can always tell when Rats are upset. They become edgy,very nervous, and quite nagging. Rats are always taken by a bargain. They often buy things they don't need and tend to save everything. Souvenirs and sentimental odds and ends are found tucked away everywhere.

       Since they make it a point to know everything about everybody,Rats are excellent writers. They have a good memory and are extremely inquisitive. Rats can be successful in almost everything they try to do. They easily adapt themselves to the situation at hand. They are at their best during any crisis and are great problem solvers. Rats are very level headed and are also very alert. Their intuition is strong and are always on the lookout for opportunities to better themselves. Rats seldom get into jams they can't escape since they cover themselves well in advance.They have a built in alarm system.

       One of the Rat's biggest fault is that they try to do too much at once. They often scatter their energies and get nothing accomplished. Once they learn to finish what they have started,there is no stopping them from being successful. The Rat must also watch those fast deals and those great bargains. In these areas their judgment may fail them. They must not become too greedy,or they will suffer a financial blow or two.

        Rats have great respect for their parents and dote on their own children. They love their home. Family life is very important to them. Rats born during the evening are tempted to a more hectic life than those born during the day.

       Rats learn early, quickly, and are avid readers. They know how to express themselves well-both written and orally. Given the slightest chance, Rats can make a success of their lives.

  • Oooops!  Sorry that's so long.  My feelings won't be hurt if you delete it after you read it!

  • Hope you get to feeling better soon.  It's never a good time to be sick.

    Good news about Jeanie!   Bad news about Vickie.  It is too bad she had to get that sick to have something done about it.  Dang doctors and protocols these days.

  • Aw. . .I hope you feel better soon.  I've been blessedly healthy this year, though I don't know what I did to deserve it.  Bundle up, take in lots of liquids, and get well quickly!

  • Me too, sorry to hear you have a cold and sick. Hope you feel better now.  My sister seem to have one just like you.  May all the ill family and friends mend soon.  Prayer go out to J.  God Bless.
