Random Thought
Prior to going to your own Xanga we get to see "Featured Weblogs". Isn't it nice that we are not inundated with the "Pro-Ana" Xanga sites anymore? That was WAY out of hand before they changed to the new look of the Xanga front page.
That was my random thought of the day.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Below are some photos from my day with my younger niece and nephews. Behind the Target that we went to were a couple of fire trucks. We were told that they are there every Sunday, testing out their equipment. VERY exciting for the children. Well, Jessica wasn't too thrilled but the boys sure were!
Here are Matthew, Jessica, Pierce and Peyton on their way to see the firemen.
Pierce and I met the fireman below when we were shopping at Target last month. He is 1 of eight Vietnamese firemen here in San Jose:
Here are the knuckleheads! Looks like the younger bro's are choking the older siblings!
My boss commented on how big Pierce is getting after seeing the photo below:
Weekend Plans:
My neighbor Nayeli ALWAYS invites me over for birthday parties at her house. Nice, eh? BUT, the party is usually taking place when Nayeli calls me so I am not prepared with a gift. SO, tomorrow I am going to hit up the store to find Nayeli's aunt some baby shower gifts. Mind you, I have NO idea when the shower is but doggone it, this time I will be prepared!
SO, first thing tomorrow morning I will go shopping and then in the evening we will celebrate Jenny's 17th birthday. She turned 17 on Wednesday. Chris had a wrestling match that evening so we weren't able to celebrate on her actual birthday which she didn't mind because she got to see her boyfriend at the match.
He helps out coaching Chris' team.
On Sunday I'm going to have Peyton and Pierce for a few hours. We'll probably go check out the firemen and then just hang out at my house.
We have Monday off for Martin Luther King's birthday so I will be taking care of Jessica and Matthew as their parents have to work. I'm going to spend the night at their house Sunday night. We'll have fun for sure!!
My sister Debbie and bro-in-law Robin are in Florida right now as Shane is moving to Madison, Wisconsin. They will be driving to WI, starting tomorrow. Please pray that they have a safe trip. I hear the weather has been horrific there.
You all have a great weekend and be sure to hug your families.
I am not interested in power for power's sake, but I'm interested in power that is moral, that is right and that is good.

Oh wow, Janice, I LOVE the new layout! It's so perfect! So YOU! Your profile pic is beautiful too!
My youngest got to ride in a fire truck in a Christmas parade, and he got such a kick out of it! I know your niece and nephews loved seeing the trucks!

Thank you for all your prayers and support, Janice. It means so much!!!
Yeah, I agree your profile pic is very very pretty. YOu is pretty
What fun watching the firemen and the trucks. Oh I bet Jessica was impressed too.
I love google maps! Do you have Google earth? it is very cool.
Have a fine week-end
The kids are all growing but do think I notice it with Pierce more. Prayers for the trip north.
What fun. It seems most kids do love firetrucks. I think all the kids are getting big. They just grow so darn fast! Prayers for the moving trip. It is pretty darn cold and snowy up this/that way. You take care and have a fun weekend and a blast babysitting.
What a gorgeous layout. I really need to change mine, but time is so limited. I really should be doing some transcription tonight, but I'm just too tired. Kate is at a basketball game and I will have to leave and pick her up anyway.
Those kids are growing like little weeds. I remember when Nate and Meg were about 4 and 7...they built a fire station about 1/2 mile away. The neighborhood was having a picnic and they showed up. It was a HOT day and they started spraying water high up into the air. The kids had a ball and the firemen were so nice.
I'll keep Debbie, Robin, and Shane in my prayers. Big (((HUGS)))
Happy Birthday to Jenny!
Cute kids. I remember when my mom would take me to watch the firetrucks.
Xanga has done a good job with the front page. Much better than the old featured content, with all of the ana or emo kids.
Ah-HEM!! Who's gonna check out the firemen again? That's what I thought!!! hahaha..
Your boss is right...He IS getting big. Look at the mature expression on his face. Lord. He looks 15!
You and your clan of little ones. It always makes me smile the way you write about them. I can feel the auntie love coming through my computer screen.
I'll be keeping your sister and b-i-l and shane in my prayers for their journey.
Pierce does look all grown up in those pics- when did that happen?????
Deb-Robin- and Shane are in my prayers!
Slumber party at Matthew and Jessica's house! Yippee!! You are like the coolest aunt ever.
Florida to Wisconsin - wow. That is quite the trip. What is he moving up there for??
Love the pictures - Peyton is still a doll baby.
Have a great weekend!
I just love that pic of them holding hands and walking away! They are adorable. And you are such a good Auntie to take them to do those things. Were you doing some looking too, but not at the trucks! wink wink!
Prayers for Deb , Robin and Shane. The weather up there has been pretty bad, but maybe it will be all over by the time they make it there.
Big Hugs!
Love the new layout and your profile pic is beautiful!
As for the visit with the firemen, the kids will probably remember that for a long time. Chris always loved going down to the fire department when my mom lived near one. The guys there were always so nice to him, would let him sit in the trucks and go into their day room. Must be something about firemen, they all seem to love kids.
Wow Jennie is 17 no way....where has the time gone.....
you can go to fox and watch the last episode, it was really good. but i know what you mean about the women not catching a break, i just knew they had won last night, but nooooo, didnt happen. i just wish Omarosa would go away!!
